Re: Turn recycling
This is running on Hostgator shared hosting, using the Softaculous 1-click install to install the game. Oh man. Back in the day Cpanel & Softaculous had a version of BNT so bad that I personally wrote to them asking them to DE-LIST the game installer. It literally had both security problems and...

Re: Balance Suggestion for next turn
Truly excellent work - #YouDidTheMath! I'm stealing your examples to help with future rewrites on the TKI/BNTA branch (see below). Starting out with the background that the 'economy' in BNT wasn't so much designed as stumbled upon, it's been known for a long time that it's not ideal. A long time ago...

Re: Balance Suggestion for next turn
- Hull upgrades and trading are now economically feasible up to Level 30 rather than current Level 18. It continues to make sense to upgrade your ship hull purely from a trading standpoint, which opens up the possibility of planet building. ... - A fully loaded planet is now worth a maximum of 4.5B...

Re: Planet Production 50% Balance
The current game has planet production rate at 50%, and I was curious about what the reasoning is behind that from a game balance perspective. As TMD mentioned, most of the "economy" settings are literally without any design consideration. They were made up numbers, meant to at least be f...

Re: How is score calculated?
Correct. Especially if used early on (think first day of playing), it can be an incredible snowball effect. I'm seriously considering restricting their use in that scenario "more" via various means.

Re: Change in new account creation disabled warning.
You beat me to it LOL Long time no see, how are you and family? I trust everyone is doing well. Thanks, we are well. I'm currently employed, working remotely, occasionally indulging in my hobbies (like PHP programming), and staying safe. Hope you are as well. Also it can be just a html file with po...

Re: Change in new account creation disabled warning.
How is that possible? Because PHP scripts take input: $_POST, $_GET, $_COOKIES, etc. And all of those can be created and sent by making a local php file which generates those values and sends them to the server. It's literally exactly the same way the game works, just the source is different. As yo...

Re: The Kabal Invasion returns later this year
What a lovely hope! Sadly my interests have drifted far from TKI & BNT, and I haven't found myself coding on either in .. months.
I still keep an eye on current events. But no, I don't foresee a new TKI anytime soon.

The Kabal Invasion returns later this year
Hello! Just wanted to drop in and mention that the progress on TKI is regular and consistent again, and I'm nearing the point where we can have a working game again later this year! I've secured hosting for the game, and continue to develop on GitHub. Right now I'm working through more code tighteni...
