Re: Confusion

Thanks for the reply. I come here with questions, ideas and an open mind so your information is really great. First I do not wish to add anything to stress and load TMD with ideas and added work. The post were my ideas and suggestions for how to market and bring the game back into light for many who...

Re: Confusion

Looking at the board it seems this is setup as a DEV forum. Anyone have an idea on marketing with a GAME HOST and PLAYER focused forum? Maybe a landing page which promotes the game and allows for downloading of current releases etc. and a link to forums. After all the point is to have GAME HOST and ...

Confusion

There seems to be confusion. This stems from the fact that the GAME ENGINE is being developed while the GAME is trying to be played and supported without a clear difference being understood. Confused? Thought so... There are 3 types of visitors to this site: PLAYERS: Players come here to look for ga...

Dev 2015

OK guys, I moved off of one of the other forum areas to continue the topics for DEV 2015. I've installed the "base" version, if you will , and began playing on my Dev server to see what works and what is broken. As stated in the previous posts the ADODB change to PDO is brilliant. As for p...

Re: Config file

My focus has been on code correctness, so for example, I'm working on switching the code away from using the very poorly maintained and bug-ridden ADODB DB library. I agree, PDO is the way to go. Perhaps that is a good start to fix some of the AI AI issue. The AI players in the code base as it exis...

Re: Config file

Cool...great points on the mailto. Got the Cron job running so looks like sync may be working. The Amiga wow that was a great console.. I'm looking into the news thing, if only for my game. I'm setup on a test dev server until the move to a regular server for it. Link the forum button back to here? ...

Re: Config file

Erm, Menus are hard coded into the game and if you want to add more you will need to look into main.php to see how they are added. The "Email Us" link is a mailto. I have php code to add to the menu link which will allow for a php email form to be used instead. Once placed into the game a...

Re: Config file

Try http://sourceforge.net/projects/blacknova/ Not too sure if they are stable on the latest version of PHP, MySQL and Apache. I know I have stopped development on the game due to a health condition, but hopefully once I have beaten off this health issue I may come back and continue development. Th...

Re: Config file

What does setup_info.php say? Also what is your server stats? I don't see any setup_info.php file. I found the game on an old code site I came across so I'm not sure I have the total package. Is there a download location where I can get the latest version (complete) and try installing to my server ...
